You understood the problem, but you're missing a fundamental point in your article: you're completely ignoring the role of fiat money, and how wealth it's actually extracted from normal people, and spoiler: no, it's not Elon musk's fault.
Well, this article was not about that. I'm trying to highlight an aspect, not that well articulated or discussed in a meaningful way.
I tried my best not to get the article to be to long., but failed as usual 😄
But I will probably write about that aspect too, and more about the debt system, federal reserve, imf, bis etc.
I appreciate your feedback though, and sometimes I do forget important points in articles - especially when their lengthy, take a lot of time and then you realize you missed something crucial right after hitting publish.
But in this piece I tried my best not to get to sidetracked by details, instead perhaps consider this a first in a series dissecting the economic system. 🔥✊
Writing about an aspect or a specific of a problem is just fine. Getting into the nature of a problem is challenging, because one problem is usually caused by a deeper problem which, in turn, is caused by an even deeper problem.
Yea. That's why I usually prefer, or at least think that it's better to provide not the full story at once, but like pieces of a puzzle. People seem to have a hard time grasping to many things at once - but if they grasp one piece fully at one point, and then at another you provide them another piece or a deeper layer to a previous piece - the concepts will stick deeper and the bigger picture emerge spontaneously and not by me "telling" them.
At least that's kind of the strategy I'm experimenting with but not always succeeding in. Not sure if it will work but my previous strategies where I reveal to much at once or to soon have not been that successful 😄
I think your article was well written and a tribute to your father. I am a benefactor of the zenith of America. But we are sorely in decline and it is very troubling. I am looking at Panama to move to, I did not imagine I would want to immigrate ONE day from USA.
Thank you Sharon! Indeed, it can be a strange feeling with mixed emotions when considering leaving your home country - I can relate. We got a really cool project coming up in Panama, you might want to check it out.
Yes, thanks - I was considering going in to both debt and fiat, but I felt it was too distracting in this piece and would only bloat it unnecessarily - but it's definately in the pipeline.
I got teary reading this piece and restacked. I cannot help but think that your work might be even more heartily received if you could correctly apply the simplest of words: to and too, their, there, and they're. These 3rd grade words wrongly used here are grave errors for an adult, and distract from your composition and maybe even the legitimacy of your intent.
Thank you, that really means a lot. And I appreciate the feedback. I’m usually very meticulous and perfectionistic with my published articles, almost to the point of being manic about it, so errors like that surprise (and frustrate ^^) me. In comments on the other hand, I prioritize authenticity over perfection and just let the words flow, especially since English isn’t my first language. Hopefully, my tiny grammatical errors will be forgiven and the focus will be on the message i want to convey.
Gosh its not like I listed all the words he mis-spelled or every grammar error, or even any sentence construct perhaps imperfect. If alleged writers fail to use (as here suggested) a copy editor,or Spellcheck we have had for 30years, the result is the antithesis of writing. My point was by failing the use of the simplest of 2-letter words as "to" detracts and distracts from the validity of a poignant message that I very much appreciated.
I disagree. Fiat money is part of the game. And Elon Musk is a dirty rat. He's definitely part of the PROBLEM, not the solution. Think about your need for a hero, and become that yourself.
Tack ska du ha, Erik! Excellent article but I don’t totally agree with your suggestions of what can be done to change this. While it is true that relatively small numbers of people may be successful at creating alternative living and lifestyle arrangements as enclaves within the existing system. These enclaves may have a different system of values, including wealth distribution, than that we are presently being forced to live under, but was such a movement of alternatives to gain enough traction to pose a serious alternative, the powers-that-shouldn’t-be would use their immense state power to dismantle these projects or force them into submission, one way or another. Clearly (to me anyway) the workers (what you refer to as workers and the middle class) need to form effective organizations designed to lead to the overthrow of the existing state and its replacement with a society designed by and constantly transformed to be a society of working people in control of the means of production, making the decisions on how that society can best meet the needs of all the people in that society. While that may seem radical, I fail to see how anything short of it can create reforms that won’t ultimately be swept away once again by our present rulers. I highly recommend taking a look at John Spritzler’s Substack articles and his website pdrboston.org. John’s views on Egalitarianism, which are founded on a systematic understanding of anarchism and how it is different than traditional Marxism-Leninism, is a worldview that has been carefully hidden from the rebel politically conscious community. John recommended “Durruti”, written by a Spanish anarchist, a book about the life of a Spanish anarchist leader which I read and learned a lot of hidden history from. I’m working on “The Unknown Revolution, 1917-1921” by Voline, a Russian anarchist who was active during those revolutionary years between 1900-1921 (and beyond), and it is not only fascinating but very informative.
Thank you for your response and I tend to agree with you, I'm not sure I spent enough time developing my thoughts on this but I do agree - I have done a lot of the alternative systems in my days but have moved my thinking closer and closer to what you are saying as well. I do see a path for it as well. But we need to organize en mass. For me, I am currently growing what will become swedens largest network of local and family owned businesses to both help resist this but also pool together economic power, powered with education of the consumer etc. But seeing the seeming psychopathic nature of our enemy, a simultaneous more sophisticated type of organization is required.
Agreed... And in my view, which is a pretty high standard, you did well with this. Don't spend much time questioning your merits, please. This is a TERRIFIC article.
That is very, very important work in the meantime. As bad as things are now for many people, for many they are fine. Things can move quickly, of course, but at least in the US, where I live, we are not in any kind of pre-revolutionary state. Far, far from it and without a lot more suffering than we see now there just won’t be any overthrows happening. All jmho, of course. On your question, I’ve spent time there and I like languages.
However, there are something like 100m people on FOOD STAMPS. The thing about the US is, those who are hurting the most tend to NOT be on Substack, and NOT be out in the street to protest, but to try and SURVIVE. They tend to be visibly needy, either a bit unkempt or clearly using drugs/alcohol whatever... Trust me, I'm HOMELESS. I should know!! But I'm not an addict, and I'm in this situation because of brotherly fuckery, and therefore simply POOR. So I speak for many when I say, living close to poverty can be debilitating and end up with a person being in economic struggles, even when highly educated and capable... Life is full of painting everyone with one color brush strokes, but it's not always FAIR...
I have a fair amount of experience with Swedes and Sweden. That experience tells me that your views and insights are so far removed from mainstream in Sweden so it is an abrupt surprise to me to be hearing them from a Swede. So many Swedes I know have such ultimate trust in their government and bureaucrats, despite all that has been done to the society there in the last 45 years.
Yea, the people here are mostly rather intelligent from my experience but they also trust the system to a very large extent. But it's not that strange because the system had been working for many people here for a very long time so people hasn't had many opportunities to distrust that the system, despite all it flaws is doing it's best to serve the people.
I've always been the odd one with the strange ideas - but I've also been fortunate to just have that "gene" that are basically immune to bullshit and very distrusting of any authority.
But I've noticed a big change in that since the pandemic. They are much more open to alternative explanations.
I’m glad to hear that many are more open, though it hasn’t been my experience among my acquaintances, I would say. I reasoned as you did, that because the system served people so well for a very long time it was too great a step to start having fundamental objections. Most Swedes, especially the intellectuals, are rigorously traditional liberal in their political outlook, so they couldn’t criticize their rulers when outlandish immigration was forced upon them, despite the obvious damage it would do to their Swedish society. That was Step One of undermining their ability to resist.
Imo, even worse there. Fundamental changes are rarely questioned. And I don’t mean in the MSM. I’m talking about the actual regular people living there. I have repeatedly found an extraordinary faith in their government bureaucrats that I don’t see at all to the same extent in the US. Latest example would be the entry of Sweden into NATO. Swedes I know didn’t question that, or consider the alternatives that used to be important. In this case, having a strong defense anchored in a homeland militia in which men would be in reserve units until the age of 50 or so. They could never win a war with a much larger military, say England or Russia, but they could provide a serious deterrent. Now they are risking having their youth sacrificed for NATO and nary a peep of protest.
I think given a bit more time, and a bit more TYRANNY, people are going to be ready to rise up and fix much of the things that are troublesome... And we outnumber ALL these Nasties by BILLIONS. What we need is that impetus that comes from the wave of Recognition to begin to come crashing down, and enough people being swept away and drowned by it. The fact that this whole attack on Humanity was decades in the planning and making, and that they used a FAKE "pandemic" to "soften" us up, and have effectively crippled the ability for us to get truth out of our various media, has slowed things... The Bad Guys have done a good job of slamming us--- But tyranny is, at a certain point, very hard to cover up, and when the reality of all this becomes apparent, the awareness of that reality will spread like WILDFIRE. It's already poised to do so, with genocide going on, with clampdowns going on, inflation, etc etc etc
I'm trying to remain somewhat PATIENT with the slow build of enough awareness...
Just as with your father, the same happened to mine: dead from a massive heart attack just before retirement.
As with your brilliant story here, the transfer and confiscation of the perceived Real Wealth of the People, thinking to be "saved" and put into the Market, has already happened. The people's additional produced Real Wealth they left at their employer(s), was converted into a mere paper receipt, for "contribution" into IRA, KEOG, ANNUITY, PENSION and so forth. That same real wealth was next distributed and consumed by the DEFICIT / CREDIT / DEBT currency system alla GOV'T. The reality? All of above so called 'retirement' funds are as empty as a folded paper bag, the substance of which was consumed shortly after production.
From the inflationary collapse of the Weimar Republic, Central Banks learned extremely valuable lessions...............on exactly HOW........to stay in power, continuing to obtain the Peoples produce wealth for NO LABOR, and hiding the evidence for same in plain sight: THE MARKETS.
Good Sir, shortly I have another story to be published on my Substack: THE UNKNOWN MARKET.
Please be certain to consider reading it after I publish.
Respectful, Appreciative Regards, Dave -- one of your faithful $upporters
I'm sorry to hear that David. But it's the system we find ourselves - and possibly the inspiration for us to do something about. There are some things in here i'm well aware of but also some things that seem very facinating avenues of exploration and there is always more to learn and understand, so thank you - i'd love to give your article a read, so shout out once it drops so i don't miss it!
Thank you for your support, it's very much appreciated! ✊🔥
Thanks, Erik. Your essay hits home for so many of us. I found your words encouraging. The silence within society is astounding. Let's make some real noise! God speed. Peace to you and yours.
Thank you - and yes! Noise is the only thing standing between now and tyranny - preferably organized noise so we're not all small snowflakes but grow into a massive avalanche🙏🔥✊
This interview opened my eyes on housing and how prices and property taxes are being manipulated through assessment values via school boards. The government has become the main mechanism to create the flow upward particularly in regards to corporate slave owners. https://youtu.be/Mrsp7CJ0hNc?si=lQN-6ww2daz5irsm
Yea, this is a big thing in Sweden as well! In general taxpayer money are also used to buy property at overvalued prices for government/federal/state use from private property owners which inflates prices and becomes a direct and attractive line to extract wealth from the people to the wealthy. thanks for the recommendation, i’ll definately check that out!
Jag beklagar verkligen om din fars bortgång, Erik. Väldigt välskriven artikel, bra gjort!
I just have to note how very convenient it us for the pyramid scheme that is called the pension system when people soon to be retired mysteriously dies from massive heart attacks (a known side effect from the "protection" against a planned and designed pandemic).
I myself don't count on any money being left for pension. Plus, they keep moving the goal posts for when you can get retired so it might never happen. We're supposed to work until we die.
Yes, your absolutely spot on - and even though my father was no shining example of health - my suspicion has always been on the two injections he took to not risk endangering the older and less healthy as it was suggested.
You captured not just your father’s story but the story of countless lives ground down by a system that takes and never gives back. It’s not just about one man. It’s about how many like him spent their lives building things that last while the system ensured they never got to build the one thing they truly wanted for themselves. Thank you for sharing this. It's powerful, and desperately needed right now.
Thank you Joe. Yea, you're really capturing the essence here. That's kind of my heart ache here, to know how much he had to give, to create and to teach - and how many of us this applies to. So many good, hard working, kind and talented people out r there - which the world desperately need - but they are locked away under constant pressure to just make ends meet. I can't help but to wonder what could have been - what hopefully still is possible.
So, as a life long conservative Republican and capitalist, (to this point), I found your article so interesting and compelling that I read half of it in the dentist's chair and the other half I listened to (thanks for the audio feature), while bleeding into gauze folliowing an extraction. I hope you understand the high compliment. It gets better - all this while enduring my wife's 'edge of your seat' driving, while she is screaming at me, while listening to your article, "Are you becoming a Communist? Oh my gosh. First you become a Methodist and now you're becoming a Communist?!?!" As I sit here, in my rocking chair, only hours after having a root dug out of my skull, and despite the discomfort, as I think of her words, I can't help but find them funny. It almost should be a scene from a situation comedy. It's funnier because we're landlords. And my wife is a third generation landlord - I married into it without really understanding all the consequences of what I was doing. My marriage became a microcosmic analogy for the American economy. She builds her empire while using me as the muscle and while she slowly, over years, has eased herself, step by step, into entrenched financial control of the business - a business that I want out of but cannot get out of, because she does not want to sell, and is dragging her feet to buy out my share because, well, she already controls my share, so why should she buy it? It's not that I haven't benefitted. I have. But, yes, my "Authorial" friend, I see where this is all going, considering the economic and political "big picture." Basically, it's going to Hell. And, as a quasi-Methodist, of the rather strict independent variety, I mean that both figuratively and literally. Despite that I have a heart of sympathy for your heart-felt pleas for awareness and action, I know they are all in vain. Almost certainly. One of the problems is you aren't seeing the full picture. Certainly, you are seeing the 'big picture,' just not the full picture, and aren't diagnosing the problem with a particular vital understanding - and no offense meant. I admire your writing and your heart in this matter. I notice in three areas you kept saying something on the order of, "it's not because these people are evil." My friend, that is your mistake. That is a misnunderstanding of the root of the problem. I know it is an honest one. I know it is based on your generostiy of heart towards thinking people basically mean well. But that is a wrong understanding of the problem. It is because they are evil. Deeply evil. Satanically evil. Wicked. Demonic. This is what people just don't seem to get these days, no matter what political stripe they are or what economic preference they hold (my wife just called me a Communist again. Thirty-seven years and her capacity to be both irritating and insulting only improves, but then, practice makes perfect). I see, amongst Marxists and Fascists alike, this tendency to reject explanations derived from Biblical understanding. They both seem to accept every stripe of religion and philosophy except the Biblical one, which leads, in my opinion, to a false diagnosis of the problem. They get the "good versus evil" idea generally but, not specifically. They don't get that there is an extant spiritual entity or power behind many human faces - some good, and most evil. And the ones who are good didn't come by it naturally. Any good they are has come only from God, because there is no good within themselves, by themselves. All these political and economic systems essentially have, as their goal, the replacement of the Eden which was lost. But mankind cannot rebuild that. I asked Chat GPT whether it could give me an econo-political philosophy or system outside of the dichotomies of Socialism and Capitalism. It couldn't do it. It simply kept reframing the same tired concepts in different terminoogy in an attempt to make it sound novel. Frankly, I cannot see anything working outside of an Amish style multiplication of individually isolated (decentralized) micro-communities, based in agrarianism. No computers. No technology. Because computers and technology, even automobiles when you think about it, have become tools of central control. And central control of any kind, based in any man-made econo-political system, is the problem. But even something like what I suggested is still doomed to failure ultimately, because the perfect design found in Eden has been lost by man forever and, be patient with me here - only God can restore it. Part of the reason for this is, even if man were to actually achieve a perfect system on his own, Satanic power would act to destroy it or subvert it. Hebrews chapter 11 in the New Testament of the Bible is the only true hope - "...another country, an Heavenly...." And, you have to die to get there, and then only if you qualify, which is what the Gospel is all about. My heart really goes out to you about your dad. My dad is 86 this year, and still living. I've learned to appreciate him despite his many faults. But your dad - oh, you lucky man. He gave you more in his 64 years than most fathers give their children in 100. He fed your soul with love. That's what I gather from what you wrote. I'm so sorry he didn't live to fulfill his dreams. Friend, all we can do is the best we can in this waiting room called Earth. I'm utterly fascinated and desperately curious to know about your project in Mexico. As for me, I'm planning to leave the USA. I've got my new country in my sights. I'll need to learn a new language. I intend to become completely self-sufficient, hopefully within a small community. And somehow, I plan to unplug from the Internet and electronics completely. Or at least as completely as I can. I even flirted with the idea of trying to join one of the Mennonite communities down there but there appears to be some baggage they're dealing with that forces me to attempt to reinvent the wheel. This country is headed for Technocratic Fascism and complete totalitarianism. I say that as a life long Republican. We are in deep brown goo. And it will be over all of our heads soon. Much sooner than most understand. We still live in a time where we can escape it for a short while. When the technocratic structure - and the autonomous weaponized drones and robots are released on the world, the only escape will be "...another country, an heavenly." Friend, you will never regain the control we have lost. You will never set the system back right. It is doomed. The only thing is to act outside the system and build your own - and only while it lasts. My deepest sympathies and dearest best wishes. Atticus Faticus
Oh Atticus, i can tell you that i was equally enveloped in reading your brilliant comment which blended humor, authenticity and insight into a gripping narrative that also complemented me in the best way - so a big thank you for all that!
There is much to say about so much of this. There is a lot to this “expressing in words” your inner understanding or perspective on things. I can say that I know a lot more than i write - but in approaching my writing here - i have consciously chosen to try to walk a path where I try to give light to the missed, left out or forgotten perspectives i feel are of utmost importance. But after a life of seeing patterns and understanding things, that for some reason most people (of the ones i’ve encountered) do not understand. So i have for a very long time in my life trying to get people to see what i see, but in the vast majority failed in this endeavour.
So when thinking about this in regards to how i want to approach my writing - i feel like there are some pieces to the puzzle that needs to be in place in order to be able to - not only get - but to accept the bigger picture.
If one jumps to fast to making conclusions, people usually rejects it. If given too much at one time, people will dismiss it or miss the important pieces hidden in each point - and the insight will not go deep enough to have an impact.
But taken on a rational journey, grounded in our shared reality and experience of life, we can start to take them to these pillar puzzle pieces one or a few after the other - while trying not to mix in to many things at one time, and guiding them to realize something on their own, rather than telling them the conclusion.
It’s not an easy task, and i am still experimenting in my approach so i don’t always succeed as well as i intended.
But my core intention is to take readers just on a journey together and go “See this, isn’t that facinating.” “Now did you know about this? Wild right?” “Have you noticed how this, that and the other seems to fit together - almost like it was consciously orchestrated to do so? Do you see it to? Or am I just crazy here?”
I try at least to have that as my guiding principle even if i fail to adhere to it at times.
So first i want to walk people to the insights necessary to build the foundation of insights - without facing to much resistance - in order to be ready and open to understanding the next layer down the rabbit hole sort of speak.
To do this I sometimes consciously leave out things that may be important, but not necessary to achieve the task at hand - or wait with a detail further down because of length, point or perhaps because it will cause to many triggers to early and they will miss the point entirely.
I don’t want to ramble to much here because you got me started thinking and i don’t want to ramble on forever and make this comment my next article ^^ My point is that because of what i consider the weight of our situation, i am trying to be strategic with my writing.
Now, back to some specific things to clear up as well.
When i write something like it’s not because most of these people are evil/bad people whatever - i usually emphasise by adding “most”, or “all” - because there are absolutely evil, psychopathic spawns of satan themselves operating out there. But I don’t want to sound hyperbolic, or have people confuse that i think people with wealth are evil - because that i am not. There are definately both good and evil people in all layers, but the group I’m focusing on - are definately the definition of evil.
And my understanding of these goes very deep, i am not specifically attached to any interpretation but hold many possibilites with varying probabilities in my mind while doing my research.
But there will be a few more articles until we reach that part of the rabbit hole :) There is a lot of ground to cover first. Reality is in a sense stranger than fiction, so if I want to avoid sounding like a lunatic, I have to know that the people reading have the foundation to at least be open to the possibility.
In regards to socialism/capitalism I think they are both part of the same system of control just like you say. Socialism/communism is control by means of the hierarchical structure of society - while capitalism is control by means of hoarding and controlling the capital. Both are different means to the same end that have the additional benefit of dividing the people into arguing amongst themselves.
In regards to the project in Mexico, you could check out http://eutopiagroup.org - that will be a good starting point - we now hav projects in panama, peru and other places as well - some are which are building as we speak. :)
I totally agree with you about the techocratic fascism - i assume you read my article called “Checkmate: The Triumph of Technocracy”? Otherwise i would highly recommend it.
Erik, thank you for your exceedingly kind reply. I think we agree on many of the facts, just not the method. I suppose its a matter of preferences really. And how much one cares about whether or not someone rejects or accepts the argument. It appears you have a great deal more patience than I. And, likely, a much more gentle personality, naturally. Of course, I did have this little matter of a serious TBI when struck by a car as a pedestrian. Intellect intact. Memories, well, not so much. Writing ability in tact (thank You GOD)! Tact - not intact. I became exceedingly direct in my communication - a night and day personality change for me. Frankly, I quite enjoy it. No longer have I the frustration of beating around the bush and being misunderstood. I prefer to throw “truth bombs” and then take the survivors to the hospital, leaving the dead to rot on the ideological battlefield. I know that sounds harsh. I generally hope that the shock wave will either wake somebody up or else produce a stupor which is merely revelatory of their character. I know this sounds conceited but, I nearly never lose an argument when engaged in “dialogue-ical warfare.” That’s because the Truth is on my side. And the Truth never comes up short in an argument. Although, the reader and their understanding might. You have a good strategy, Erik. And I admire your patience in pursuing it. Fishing with lures and coaxing someone onto the hook (speaking positively here - not that you would want to gut and fry anybody but to hook them on the truth), can be an effective way to go. Personally, I enjoy using “Dupont spinners.” Then I like to wait and see which fish float to the top. By that time, they generally don’t put up much of a fight. PS - I get unfriended and censored a lot. Lol.
" I prefer to throw “truth bombs” and then take the survivors to the hospital, leaving the dead to rot on the ideological battlefield. I know that sounds harsh".
Yes, but it is one thing to do it in your private life (and you can keep someone as life-mate or friend only if they are good at surviving, or, perhaps too good to be hoped for, enjoy it), and another to do it as a public writer, where your goal should be contributing to the cause and its success, not unchecked self-expression.
This might sound like an "end run" but, I think it might depend on your goals within that cause. There are many who will remain mere chaff and never wheat. My approach merely separates one from the other. I used to take the diplomatic approach when I was much younger. It was no more effective than the "bomb throwing" approach. In fact, much less so. The latter tends to generate much more conversation. I have certainly seen that work out practically. With that said, I am thankful that you cared enough to reply to my comment.
Okay, here's a bomb I'm throwing, and I mean no offense, but to perhaps rattle that cage of yours--
I find your unapologetically dark, pessimistic, and judgmental approach to life generally, to be very common amongst Christians. Consider this: There is very compelling evidence that the NT was written by ROMANS. As a PLAY. To entertain people. Not to start a new religion. I know, that is anathema to you on its face, but there is, as I say, compelling evidence. You seem to be an unhappy person on several levels... you've given some hints as to why, but that is not for me to say. Perhaps if you applied yourself, you could create a happier life for yourself, and then perhaps your outlook might be a bit more optimistic. But spreading negativity isn't necessary, and it's rarely helpful.
I do seem to come across plenty of other folks, usually those who are a bit older, who seem to feel that we "deserve" whatever happens to us, that "God" or some other entity has decided to put us into a kind of earthly hell because we went wrong from Eden onward (oh, and it's all the fault of Eve!) and so we are doomed, we have no choice in how we live or will live, all is "written" somewhere and wah, and I can't help it, and wah, and I can't change anything because of... whom/what ever...
What that says to me is that there are older people who feel they just can't handle a revolution or whatever we want to call taking back our sovereignty from ne'er-do-wells and psychopaths... Leave it to the young and strong, I hear that being preached in various ways. But of course, we "seniors" (a term that carries a ton of implied condescension and a sort of scathing feeling) are NOT ALL THAT WAY.
I believe this Next Phase in Humanity's History is going to take ALL kinds of us, from children to the very elderly, all voices that wish to be heard will be heard, and there is ALWAYS a way to respond without hatred, perhaps, but with a Love for FREEDOM, and beneficence-- and at the same time absolutely REJECTING the current state of Live and Let Die (or live in poverty) kind of grubbing for money and power, and introducing a NEW, entirely new, at least on a global scale, kind of thinking/being/doing that will change us forever...
I can/could never believe in a Creator that punishes for our being immature or not fully developed, but that we do that ourselves by refusing what is offered to us, out of cowardice and a short-sighted idea of what we are and why we are here. I leave that to a further discussion, but I can tell you this... I see very little fulfillment of it in most religious folks. There seems to be a striving toward holding back and being okay, by means of cowardice, to actually CHANGE, ourselves, or our situation... If I hear one more time, "Yeah, we tried that before and it didn't work." Bollocks, as they say in the UK...
I find your writing to be a compelling counter-argument!! Keep it up. ^_^
Thank you for this wonderful article and including the life of your father. He certainly sounds like an amazing human being and I am sorry he is no longer with us. Your words about your dad, and the general situation most people are in by often doing something that is soul destroying to earn money, touched me deeply. I have certainly worked at jobs, such as in Technology, that paid well but I didn't enjoy the work. I agree with you that there is a better way for all of us to be creative and authentic human beings in all that we do during our time here.
So sorry to hear about your father! Loss is difficult 😥
When I ponder people or workers rising up or taking control of governments or organizations, I can’t help feeling that that is a pattern too that then creates what we had before and the cycle continues on.
It all reminds me of the short tale called Animal Farm “ by the same author of 1984. I encourage you to read it if you haven’t. The animals rise up against there human rulers and take over and then some animals end up more powerful than the others.
The pattern is one of superiors with power over inferiors. What makes anyone think they are better off with external rulers who think they know better and utilize force to keep you supporting their extraction policy where we lose?
We can stop believing and get on with producing a life worth living. When we stop feeding and feeding off the governments and organizations, then they go away! Like when horses disappeared off the streets and the automobile took over.
The other thing we seem to forget, deny, or ignore is that any force utilized to make others comply to what we, you, or I think is best, creates the same power corruption pattern.
An old Rush song called Tom Sawyer says, my mind is not for rent by any god or government. To me this sums it up. I think 🤔 humans need to keep their valuable tech creations and ideas away from those who use our mind and stuff against others. The movie The Electric State is a case in point.
I don’t usually go on and on like this, but you have such wonderful ideas and responses that I wanted to contribute.
E, another thought provoking piece. And indeed, I have many thoughts. I'll try to condense.
First, and most simple, the profits of Moderna and Pfizer were obscene to be sure, but it was governments, not the companies who forced people to get jabbed. Considering the timing and circumstances of his death, I can't help but wonder if your father was one of their victims. Either way, my condolences on his passing.
More generally, I think one missing piece of the "what can we do" puzzle is information. I don't know about Sweden, but here in the United States we've been brainwashed for at least my whole life - probably longer - to never divulge to others what we get paid. My eyes were opened to this rubbish one winter day in the 90's when in reading the sports pages I saw that day after day, Major League Baseball (MLB) players were signing larger and larger contracts. And it dawned on me, that the reason for this was simple: the public announcements of player deals gave everyone a clear picture of the market. And while I have mixed feelings about unions in general (more on that later), as I researched the history of the MLB players union I learned that it was the brilliance of one of the early union leaders, Marvin Miller, to insist on salaries being publicized. Back in the late 60's and early 70's, players still had no freedom to switch teams, but Miller was able to convince the owners to make salaries public. So now the best players could raise a stink about how they weren't being paid enough relative to the stiffs. Slowly but surely this rising tide lifted all boats, until the advent of free agency broke the dam.
I can even tell a personal anecdote relevant to the need for information. I had an opportunity around 2007 to move to a new company, and had a good friend in my industry who had recently made a move into a similar position with a new employer. When I asked how he was compensated, he was generous enough to share with me the general terms of his pay. I was able to take that and with much greater confidence tell my suitor what I would accept. And I made it clear that I wasn't pulling the number out of my arse, but had a reliable source. My prior attempts to change employers had always culminated with the employer asking me how much I was making at my current job, and then just putting a half assed increase on top of that. In essence, my lack of knowledge of the market put the prospective employer in the driver seat. So if you feel like you're underpaid, try to find out. And if you land a new job at a better number, don't keep it a secret from your peers.
As for unions in general, I think (again, I can only speak for what I've witnessed in the U.S.) that they eventually overplayed their hand and there was a backlash from the public that made them politically unpopular. As with almost all institutions, what was once a mission of doing what's best for a constituency (in this case, the working class) eventually took a backseat to the mission of doing what's best for the institution itself. Obviously an oversimplified view, but this comment is already long enough . . . or too long, LOL.
Anyway, love your writings E. Even when I'm not totally aligned I always find them well written, logically argued and thought provoking. And by the way, the above comments in no way should be taken as a disagreement with the larger point about wealth concentration.
The GOVT's are RUN BY the Big Pharma Mafia. Just sayin! It's not like they are entirely separate entities. Think about the WHO, run by a self-proclaimed eugenicist super-rich guy. Think about how Big Pharma, or the Medical Industrial Complex has tentacles into so much of the US, and by the US's tentacles, into most of the Western world... Things have gotten so out of balance that we are trained not to even SEE this. A little digging and it becomes gruesomely clear-- follow the money.
I certainly can't argue with your point about the outsized influence the pharma mutts have on governments. It's obvious any time Congress puts on a dog and pony show around anything health related that most if not all of them are compromised. And they certainly dictate to the FDA and CDC (rather than the other way around - some regulatory bodies, eh!) when it comes to getting their products approved. But when it comes to nationwide mandates - and especially enforcing such mandates - only the government can wield that power. Certainly pharma wanted that and likely lobbied hard for it . . . but if governments had said nyet, I don't think pharma could have made it happen. Would resistant govt leaders have suddenly ended up in the morgue? Maybe. Cut off from funding? Almost certainly.
Anyway, I appreciate the comment. We're basically on the same page with regard to the MIC and their criminal enterprise.
To be clear: The reason why is like you said— they’re compromised, but they also know that being too outright would unplug the genie’s bottle (the People).
Thanks Erik, for the excellent description of the trouble we are in. You write:
But systems designed by humans can be redesigned by humans.
I agree that the system was designed, but not exactly by humans, but by predators who want total control over the earth and its inhabitants. I describe this 500-year project in my book The Predators versus The People, available on https://thepredatorsversusthepeople.substack.com/.
These predators, or what I call the Global Mafia or Glafia, have set up a power structure which now covers all nations (central banks, usurious money systems, pseudo-democracies are all part of it). They rule the world's nations via hegemons, resp. Spain (15/16 century), Holland (17 century), Britain (18/19 century) and the USA (20 c.). Each of these hegemons had its golden age, the USA/West from 1945 to the early 70s, as you describe. From then the last phase of the USA cycle was started, the financialization phase. Assettization (buying up all resources) by the happy few is an important part of it, with a chapter in my book.
Trump, a Rothschild pawn, understands this and is retreating to Fortress America. See my site for an article on how he fits in.
China has been prepared for over a century as the next hegemon, and is probably in its most golden age now.
There are many things we can do, with raising awareness as you do as one of the most important activities, but we should keep in mind that their power is immense and that we still have no blueprint how the world could be organized after these predators have been neutralized. I would love to say something more uplifting, but this reality weighs in heavily.
This was my first reading of an article from you. I really enjoyed it and completely agree that we all need to come together to stop this blatant wealth transfer create a paradigm that works for us all. This means not getting caught up in the divide and rule tactics that are still so successful. If that's possible, given how addicted people are to media, both legacy and social, I don't know but I am certainly going to try my hardest.
Thank you Erik and your loving father! May this article inspire others to break the mould and aspire to bring down the predator class.
Thank you Frances🙏 I hope it does - the predator class is definately the more correct term! 🔥✊
I'm in!
Let's go 🔥✊
You understood the problem, but you're missing a fundamental point in your article: you're completely ignoring the role of fiat money, and how wealth it's actually extracted from normal people, and spoiler: no, it's not Elon musk's fault.
What is your project in Panama?
I disagree with ^ that response. I think "fiat money" as you suggest, is part of the bigger picture and not necessary in THIS post of yours.
If ever you'd like a copy editor, just ask. I'm very reasonable, VERY GOOD at
it, and you'd get a great deal, because your writing is excellent, and dare I say, needed! Cheers.
You do realise he's Swedish, don't you? How's your second language, if you have one? Mine is riddled with what would be schoolboy errors.
A spellchecker is not capable at this time to critique a passage written from the heart.
What a scolding!!! My goodness, he's Swedish after all, not a native speaker.
Also, I’m sorry to hear you lost your father at such a young age. It’s an all-too-common story.
All good points. I didn’t realize there are 100M on food stamps here.
Neither did I! I guess that might be wrong, but… it seems likely enough to me. The middle class, as you’re surely aware, is gone.
Just now realized the "Tack ska du ha" 😄 are you Swedish? :)
Sounds very much like the US... !!
Thank you Erik. You helped me understand why I am still needing to work at 68 years of age, just to live a simple life.
Good Sir Erik,
Just as with your father, the same happened to mine: dead from a massive heart attack just before retirement.
Hear, hear! See my response somewhere above, among several, about the TIMING...
Thank you so much for sharing and giving others the benefit of such a harrowing experience.
This is a great article. So clearly articulated
Thanks, I appreciate it!
Tack, det uppskattas!
Thanks again for your amazing feedback! ✊🔥
Your step-by-step, not-too-ego-triggering, pedagogic-strategic writing is the kind most likely to bring in good results.
Wise words.
1. You appear to be making assumptions and jumping to conclusions.
2. If there is compelling evidence, then produce it, not just announce it.
3. The truth is truth. It isn’t positive or negative until the hearer or reader has an emotional reaction in response.
Good answer.
Teeny little remark to your thoughtful comment:
What I’m saying is, the GOVT is powered by the DRUG COMPANIES. To think of them as separate entities is exactly what Pfizer, et al, are hoping for.
Wishing you strength and success in your mission!

I'm really sorry about your dad.
